From Accidental Start to Purposeful Impact

My journey into medical laboratory science didn’t begin with a clear plan…

It started accidentally as a BSc MLT student.

 

But very early on, something changed—

I became deeply curious.

Not just about doing tests,

but about the science behind every result,

the responsibility of validation,

and even the lab management systems working behind the scenes.

That curiosity stayed with me when I started my career as a general lab technologist in a medical college hospital right after graduation.

That phase built my foundation.

It strengthened my technical skills,

shaped my thinking,

and made me genuinely passionate about the profession.

At the same time, I faced a reality many lab professionals know well—

High responsibility… but limited growth and remuneration.

That pushed me to think beyond the system I was in.

With that mindset, I decided to step out and explore global opportunities.

After clearing the UAE MOH Prometric and completing my viva,

I moved to the UAE and began working in a diagnostic center in Sharjah,

later transitioning into the Dubai Health Authority.

This phase changed my perspective completely.

I was exposed to structured systems,

international standards,

and clear career pathways.

And one thing became very clear to me—

The problem is not talent… it’s lack of direction and awareness.

While working there,   same time along with my co-founder Jaseer PK,

I started observing a bigger gap in our field.

 

Not just in opportunities…

but in guidance, licensing clarity, and structured preparation.

 

That’s how Medline International began—

not as a business idea, but as a solution to a real problem we were seeing every day.

 

Soon, we realized something even more important—

 

Guidance alone is not enough

Professionals need structured learning support

 

That insight led us to build SimplyMED Learning—

a platform designed to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity.

 

Today, what we’ve built is more than a consultancy or an academy…

 

It’s a pathway

It’s a support system

It’s direction for thousands of healthcare professionals

Even as I moved into entrepreneurship,

I never disconnected from the laboratory field.

I continued learning, mentoring, and upgrading myself—

working as a laboratory accreditation mentor of a healthcare group in Abu Dhabi

and later achieving the ASCP MLS certification.

 

Because I strongly believe—

You cannot build for a community you are not connected to

Now, I’m also part of building AiCura Diagnostics,

with a vision to create a system where lab professionals don’t just work…

 

They grow

They lead

They build

 

My Perspective Today

This journey is not just about moving from one role to another…

It’s about evolving in mindset:

 

From curiosity → to clarity

From working in the system → to building systems

From searching for opportunities → to creating them

 

And this journey is still continuing…

Because I’m always connected to the medlab community,

constantly learning, adapting, and building solutions.
