Pass your medical laboratory licensing exam on the first attempt
Subject-wise preparation for Medical Laboratory Technologists, Specialists and Technicians sitting DHA, MOHAP, DOH, SCFHS, OMSB or Kuwait MOH licensing exams — built around the actual exam blueprint, not generic question dumps.

How to approach the exam
A short, practical sequence for candidates preparing for any Prometric-delivered GCC lab licensing exam.
-
1
Confirm your blueprint
Get the exact subject weightage for your authority and category before you start revising — DHA, DOH and Kuwait MOH weight subjects differently, and OMSB's blueprint applies to Technologist/Specialist candidates only.
-
2
Baseline yourself
Sit one full-length diagnostic test first. Your weakest two subjects, not your favourite two, should decide where your study hours go.
-
3
Study subject by subject
Work through Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Immunology, Histopathology (where applicable), Molecular Diagnostics, and Lab Quality/Safety in blocks — don't mix subjects within a single revision session.
-
4
Drill with timed MCQs
Practise under exam timing, not untimed. Most candidates lose marks to time pressure on calculation-based Clinical Chemistry and ABG questions, not to lack of knowledge.
-
5
Keep an error log
Log every question you get wrong with the reason — knowledge gap, misread question, or careless error. Review this log, not fresh material, in your final week.
-
6
Don't skip Safety and Quality Management
These two subjects are consistently under-revised and carry a fixed share of marks on every authority's exam.
